Asteroid chaos always plays in my head
Whenever people start panicking about some huge disaster, my mind immediately goes to asteroid movies. I picture Deep Impact - you know, the late '90s one where Elijah Wood (aka Frodo from Lord of the Rings) is racing to save the world from a comet. Or Armageddon, with Bruce Willis leading a crew of oil drillers into space while Aerosmith belts out “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing.” Then there’s Don’t Look Up on Netflix, where everyone just refuses to take the incoming comet seriously, and even wild ones like Moonfall, where the moon itself is crashing into Earth. Sometimes I even think about The Good Dinosaur, that animated movie where a meteor wipes out the dinosaurs. Honestly, it feels like anytime life gets chaotic, I can’t help imagining some giant space rock headed for Earth, emojis and all.
