SpongeBob reruns just unlock pure kid energy

SpongeBob always hits me right in the nostalgia - seriously, just seeing a meme from those first few seasons instantly takes me back to being a kid at the old Entertainment E-Center (yeah, the “E” actually stands for “Entertainment,” I checked). I remember climbing all the way to the top of the play structure there and feeling totally free, and somehow that same wild, goofy energy from SpongeBob brings those memories rushing back. Even if you’ve never sat through a full episode, you’ve probably seen the weird clips and memes all over the internet. What’s wild is that almost all of those are legit scenes from the show, not just made-up internet jokes. The first three or four seasons especially had that same chaotic vibe as old Ren & Stimpy cartoons, but way less gross. I mean, some bits - like the Peter Gorico moment - honestly just live rent-free in my head forever.
